Castle Hill Uganda Presentation Evening

Sat. 13th Oct. 2007

Castle Hill United Reformed Church in Ipswich was the venue for a presentation by Lyn and Tony Wright, both of whom are members and elders of that particular Church and who had recently visited North Kigezi diocese together with four other Christians from Kent.

Lyn and Tony stayed in Rukungiri, meeting the Bishop and his staff, worshipping at Immanuel Cathedral and visiting many projects during their time there, often accompanied by Rev’d Ken.

The presentation evening consisted of a talk, film show, display boards with photos and information, goods made by Mothers Union for sale and display together with a hearty buffet tea! Donations were invited to help purchase goats for widows and orphans projects – this raised £206. Profits from the sale of tickets for the event in which over 100 people attended swelled the profits to a marvellous £530. Education sponsorship was also found for three students at Kinyasano High School with the prospect of more to follow!
