KYOMUHANGI HOPE S.6SC. PCB/M Speaks

My parents were typical peasants. I am the fifth born in the family of nine.  All my siblings did not go to school because lack of school fees. When our mother passed away the situation became worse.

At primary level, the government introduced Universal Primary Education.  I went through primary and performed well to qualify for a government sponsorship for S.1 and was able to perform well I qualified for a school bursary up to S.4 I knew my chances would stop there.

An uncle tried to help in S.5 but also failed.  When I was about to give up I got sponsorship form friends of North Kigezi Diocese.

I am so grateful to God. I am the only one educated so far at home.  My elder sisters got married and the ones that follow me are still in primary.

I would never be what I am if I was not helped – I have a future.  I have been helped to be what God would want me to be.  I am at peace, knowing God is taking care of me through the helping hand of my new parents – Kate and Robert.  I know am the only ‘hope’ for my family – I want to work had and do university degree.

 Yours in Christ
