ATUHAIRE ISABELLA S.6.A Speaks

HOW SPONSORSHIP HAS HELPED ME.

I really thank God very much for the far he has taken me because it as all been by his grace.  I started primary in 1996 and I was being supported by my father and mother.  Life went on fairly well and later when I was in primary six, my father who was the bread earner at home died.

From this time life really became hard for me I could be chased from School for school fees time and again.  When I reached in primary seven our Head master decided to always contribute for me a half of my school fees such that I can stay in school because even my performance was good.  I did my P.L.E Exams and I passed but I didn’t have hopes of joining secondary because there was no money at home.

After 3 weeks where other students had reported at school my uncle came to visit us at home and because of the situation there he became merciful to me and decided to pay for me school fees.  I studied O’ level though it wasn’t easy as I could be sent home time and again because my uncle had his children to take care of. In third term of S.4 he told me that he couldn’t support me any longer because two of his children were joining secondary.  When I heard all this I lost all hopes of attaining any further education but always prayed to God to pave away for me.

Later when I was still in O’ level vacation I was called at school (Kinyasano Girls’ school) that I had got a sponsor through the Friends of North Kigezi Diocese.  I was very happy and from then I haven’t been sent home for school fees.  And I pray that God should guide me and provide for me all through.
