Re Bucence Primary School

On behalf of Rukungiri District Local Government in general and Education Department in Particular. I wish to acknowledge the support from Friends of North Kigezi Diocese of United Kingdom to Bucence primary school in Nyakgyeme sub-county of Rukungiri district.

At the begging of 2009, Bucence primary school was on the verge of collapse with an enrolment of 39 pupils in three classes. InJune 2009, the Friends of North Kigezi Diocese were introduced to the school through Rev. Canon Kenneth Berkin. Since then a lot has been done in the school through the generous support by the friends of North Kigezi.

Today the school has fully recovered with a total enrolment 274 in six classes and have primary seven in 2011. We are proud to be in partnership with North Kigezi Diocese and her Friends in the United Kingdom in supporting Education through creation of a condicive learning environment in our schools.
